Some 49% of first-time enquiries received by UK self storage centres now come from the internet, according to respondents to an email survey run by the UK self storage website Storage.co.uk. Storage.co.uk is a independent advice website for people interested in renting self storage space.  The survey was open to every single storage centre in the country.

Despite this headline figure, storage.co.uk did point out that there were massive variations between respondents ranging from 90% of their business being online to hardly any. However, from the broader picture one thing is for sure - online enquiries have grown substantially in the last fifteen years, and if you don't have a strong online presence you could be sacrificing thousands of pounds of potential sales.
